I went to Dr. Raymond for a second opinion and we decided that it was best to remove the previous implant in order to avoid infection (which was inevitable) and complete failure of the previously placed implant.  He explained everything in detail and was very knowledgeable. The plan going forward is to let the previous site heal and revisit placing a new implant in a few months.  I was happy that I was able to get this issue resolved so quickly and right before the holidays or before major infection set in.  Dr. Raymond Ngo and Jay (his assistant) were excellent. Hailey (front desk) was also great, she got me in knowing that my case was an emergency and ran my insurance previous to my visit to make sure I had coverage.  10/10 recommend.
